DetailDeskFor ceramic shops

Stop running your ceramic shop out of your DMs.

DetailDesk builds the website, booking system, and quote calculator that ceramic-coating and paint-correction shops keep duct-taping together. Customers book themselves. A deposit hits Stripe before you block the bay. Reviews are asked for automatically the day after the appointment. Live in 5–7 days.

On the work

Most ceramic shops are run by one person who is genuinely great with a polisher and genuinely tired of replying to "how much for a 4Runner" DMs at 11pm. DetailDesk replaces the part of the job that isn't the craft — and only that part.

Bookings

Customers book themselves. Deposits clear before the bay opens.

Every appointment runs through a calendar wired to your Google or Apple calendar — block the days you're already booked for paint correction and the system stops offering them. Customers pick a slot, enter their card, and pay a deposit before the booking confirms.

The deposit is the point. Detailers consistently lose 1–2 ceramic appointments a month to no-shows. A non-refundable 10–20% deposit cuts that to near zero. Stripe handles the card processing — the cash hits your bank on a 2-day rolling settlement, no merchant account paperwork.

  • Calendar sync (Google + Apple) and per-service buffer times
  • Configurable deposit — fixed amount or percentage of the quote
  • Day-before SMS reminder via Twilio (Pro tier)
  • One-click reschedule from the customer's confirmation email

Quoting

The quote calculator that ends the price-DM spiral.

Customer picks vehicle size and service — sedan, SUV, truck, lifted truck, exotic — and the calculator returns a price range pulled from your own pricing matrix. They get a number on the spot. You stop quoting on your phone after dinner.

Eighty percent of the inbound DMs to a ceramic shop are some version of the same question. The calculator answers it without you. The twenty percent that needs a real conversation still routes to you, but those are the conversations that close.

  • Service matrix you control from the admin panel
  • Vehicle-size multipliers per service tier
  • Add-ons (interior, wheels off, headlight restoration) priced individually
  • Quote screen converts straight to a booking — same flow, no rebuilds

Reviews

Google reviews, asked for in your sleep.

Twenty-four hours after every appointment closes, the customer gets a one-tap text with a direct link to your Google Business Profile review form. If they haven't left one by day four, they get one polite nudge. Then it stops. No nagging, no manual list-keeping.

Detailers consistently rank "more Google reviews" as the single growth lever they want and the single thing they forget to ask for in person. This wires it up so the request fires whether you remember or not.

  • SMS sent via Twilio with your shop name and direct review link
  • Auto-stops the moment the customer leaves a review
  • Track response rate and review velocity from the admin panel
  • Ledger of every send for the few customers who ask "did you text me?"

Trust signals

A before/after gallery and a reviews page — run from the work you already shoot.

You're already photographing every car for Instagram. The gallery re-uses those shots with a draggable before/after slider, filterable by service, and a per-vehicle archive page that doubles as a local SEO surface. Reviews pull live from Google — the five stars you've already earned do the work twice.

  • Before/after slider with touch-drag on mobile
  • Filter by service (paint correction, ceramic, PPF, interior)
  • Live Google review embed — refreshes nightly
  • Each gallery entry is a real URL — Google indexes it

The rest of the box

Everything that doesn't deserve its own act.

  • Service-area SEO pages

Per-suburb pages ("Ceramic coating in Plano") so you rank for the next town over without writing a blog. Up to 15 included on Elite.

  • Mobile-first by default

Seventy percent of your customers will open the site on a phone. The booking flow, gallery, and quote calculator are designed phone-first, not retrofitted.

  • Custom subdomain or your own domain

Launch on yourshop.detaildesk.co or point your own .com. Either way the SSL, hosting, and uptime monitoring are handled.

  • Brand fit, not template feel

Your colours, your fonts (within reason), your photos. The template is the chassis — the finish is yours.

  • Admin panel built for one person

Edit services, swap photos, pull deposit reports, see review velocity — from a phone if that's all you have. Not Salesforce-grade. Sized for a one-truck operation.

  • I host it. Forever.

Vercel + Postgres + Stripe + Twilio. The monthly fee covers the whole stack. No ten-different-bills situation.

Pricing

Three tiers. Real numbers. No "contact us."

50% to start, 50% on launch. The deposit collection from your first month of bookings tends to cover the build. If it doesn't, the booking calendar wasn't your bottleneck and we should talk before you sign anything.

About

A note from Dylan.

I'm 19. I started looking at ceramic-coating shops the way a customer would — search, scroll, try to book — and the same pattern showed up everywhere. Owners doing six-figure work, photographed badly, hidden behind a Wix template from 2014 and a DM inbox they couldn't keep up with. The work was excellent. The storefront was actively making them look smaller than they are.

The workflow gap was the same shop to shop: quoting in DMs, no deposit on the calendar, no review follow-up, no real booking flow. Solo operators losing five-figure months to admin overhead they shouldn't have to carry. So I decided to spend this summer building one piece of software that fixes all of it, and to take on a small founding cohort of shops at first-cohort pricing while I prove it out in the field.

DetailDesk isn't an agency. It's me, a deeply-built template that knows what a 1-step paint correction is, and a phone number that goes to my actual phone. When you email hello@detaildesk.co, I read it. When something breaks at 9pm, I fix it. That's the whole pitch. I'd rather you be the third shop on a tool built by one engineer than the three-hundredth on a generic agency template.

If that resonates — or you just want to see a version of your own site with your photos on it before you commit to anything — call or drop me a line. Founding-cohort pricing is honest about why it exists: I want a handful of real shops to build alongside, and I'll price accordingly. No pressure either way.

FAQ

The questions shops actually ask.

  • Why a website? My Instagram already brings me work.

Instagram brings you work — and then a different problem starts: every booking, quote, and follow-up runs through DMs at the end of your day. DetailDesk doesn't replace your Instagram. It catches the work IG sends and turns it into bookings + deposits + reviews without your phone in your hand.

  • I already have a Wix / Squarespace site.

Most shops do. The piece you're missing isn't the site, it's the booking + deposit flow wired into a real database. We can usually rebuild from your existing site in 5–7 days and keep the URLs that already rank.

  • What happens when school starts in September?

Shop runs the same. Support shifts to a 48-hour response window instead of same-day, and major changes get scheduled. Hosting, monitoring, and the booking system don't slow down — those are automated. If something breaks, I still fix it.

  • Can I export my data if I leave?

Yes. Your customer list, bookings, and reviews are yours. On exit you get a CSV export and 30 days of read-only access while you migrate. The buyout option ($2,500 one-time) lets you take the whole site and host it yourself.

  • How do you handle PPF / coating warranty docs?

On the Pro and Elite tiers, every booked appointment generates a per-vehicle PDF with coating product, install date, and warranty terms — automatically emailed to the customer and stored in their portal. Most shops type these in a Notes app or skip them entirely.

  • Why only ceramic shops?

The template is built around the way ceramic shops actually work — vehicle-size pricing, multi-day correction jobs, deposit-required appointments, before/after content as the primary marketing asset. A general-purpose detailer template would be worse for everyone.

Want to see your shop's site before you commit to anything?

Send your shop name and Instagram handle. I'll build a version of your site populated with your photos, your services, and your contact info, and reply with a link in a day or two. If you like it, we talk pricing. If you don't, you keep the link as a free preview of what your site could be.

I read every email myself. Reply time is usually under 24 hours.
